Hi I’m Niamh I have been working with children for over 20 years and completed my psychotherapy training in 2011. Since then, I’ve worked in both private practice and schools, supporting children and families through play therapy.
I’ve also created and led the first play therapy projects that brought this work into school settings, making it more accessible to the children who need it most.
My passion for play therapy has never wavered. What inspires me most is seeing how children find their own way to heal and grow when given the safety of play. Over the years, I have continued to grow and learn in my practice, completing additional training in a range of therapeutic approaches and evidence-based parenting programmes.
Outside of the therapy room, I have always loved nature. A number of years ago, I discovered mindfulness, and it felt like a natural companion to my love of the outdoors. I went on to train as a mindfulness teacher, and I now weave both nature and mindfulness into my work with children in ways that bring calm and connection.
